Holiday Green Tea Smoothie

With all the festivities this season has to offer, make sure you are properly fueled. This holiday green tea smoothie provides a hearty dose of nutrients, so you'll have plenty of energy to get you through the season!  

Ingredients:

  • 1 Salada Green Tea bag 
  • 1/4 cup of water, plus more as needed
  • 2 tbsp. ground flax seeds 
  • 2 tbsp. oat bran
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen mixed berries 
  • 6 ounces low-fat vanilla yogurt 
  • 1/4 cup cranberry juice 
  • honey, to taste

Instructions: 

  • Brew green tea according to package, let cool. 
  • In a blender, combine ground flax seeds, oat bran, berries, yogurt and juice and blend until smooth. 
  • Squeeze and remove tea bag and add tea to berry mixture, blending until smooth. 
  • Adjust consistency with additional water, if needed sweeten with honey.
